Hot Chocolate


- 1-2 Haitian Cacao balls
- 2-3 Star anise or 1 tbsp extract
- 2-3 Cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp Haitian essence or vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Almond extract
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon zest & 1/2 a lemon peel
- 2 cups Brown sugar or more
- 3 cups of water
- 1 evaporated condensed milk
- Stainer (paswa)

Bring water to boil in a deep pan on medium high heat and add your cocoa balls to the water
Add In star anise, cinnamon sticks, vanilla extract, almond extract, lemon peel and zest and stir.
Stir the chocolate to ensure it’s melted all the way. Then, add your sugar and milk. Taste to ensure there’s enough sugar
Strain your chocolate. Then serve hot
